Detailed artwork, v-carved into solid wood.
The piece shown is a Canadian coat of arms carved into mulberry, made as a test for a custom gift for someone in the armed forces. The customer supplied the artwork and we worked out how to render its detail in timber.
Mulberry starts as a bright straw colour and ages into a rich reddish brown. It has a tendency to check, but the grain and that colour shift make it a striking choice for a display piece.
That particular project stalled before completion, but the test piece shows what the process can hold — fine detail, crisp v-carve walls, and no loss of legibility at small scale.

Artwork in any form we can work from — vector is ideal, but a clean photo or sketch is usually enough to start. Tell us the finished size and where it’s going to live, and we’ll come back with a price and a wood recommendation.
