Originally made for Cedar Island Yacht Club’s laser and youth racing awards in Kingsville, Ontario.
A Laser/ILCA model on a solid hardwood base, with the sail cut from retired dacron — material that was headed for landfill and instead ends up on a shelf. Sailors recognise it immediately, which is most of the point.
Sets and singles
The usual way to buy these is as a podium set of three — red, blue and yellow — covering first, second and third in one go. Sets come in two sizes: small at roughly 6", large at roughly 8".
Single awards are made to order in any size and colour, so a series can step up from class winner to overall champion, or match club colours. Those are quoted individually, since size and finish drive the cost.
Running a multi-fleet regatta and need several sets? There are discounts for volume — say how many you need when you get in touch.
