Solid brass, CNC engraved with your design and hand finished. Available bare, or with hand-applied coloured epoxy inlays that sit flush in the engraving.
These were originally made as crew awards for our local sailing club.
Sets
Most clubs order these as a set — a set of four works out cheaper per piece than four singles, and the text can differ on every award in the set. Nothing about the set is fixed: different sizes, more pieces, or a mix of bare and inlaid finishes are all normal requests.
Display stand
The wood holder uses a magnetic, friction-fit design that presents the whole award while holding it securely — and lets it be lifted out for handling at a prize-giving. Available in walnut or maple.
The holder can be engraved separately from the award itself, which is where event names, dates and recipient details usually go.
How it’s made
Design iteration, CNC routing, UV-cured epoxy inlays, then hand finishing up through the grits to a mirror polish. There’s a full write-up of the process in the Scuttlebutt Awards build log.
