Most of what leaves this shop was never in a catalogue. Someone needed a thing that didn’t exist — a fitting for a C&C or Tartan or Tanzer where the original part is long discontinued, a trophy that had to mean something specific, a fixture to solve a problem in their own workshop — and described it well enough that we could build it.

No minimum orders. One is a perfectly good quantity.

Materials we use regularly: solid brass, aluminium, hardwoods (walnut, maple, mulberry), sheet plastics, PLA and PETG, and dacron.

How it works

  1. Tell us what you need. A description, a sketch, a photo of the broken original, or a CAD file — whatever you have. You do not need a drawing.
  2. We come back with an approach and a price. Including what’s straightforward, what’s awkward, and where the cost actually sits. If we think you’d be better served buying something off the shelf, we’ll say so.
  3. Prototypes and iteration. Most bespoke jobs go through a series of test pieces and intermediate steps before the final version. You see progress along the way and we adjust as we go — materials, fit, finish — until it’s right.
  4. Final piece and delivery. Pickup in Ontario, or shipping across Canada.

What makes a job go well

The best results come from problems, not specifications. “I need a bracket, 40mm, in aluminium” is answerable. “There’s nowhere to mount my instrument display and the surface is curved” is better — because then we can solve the actual problem rather than build to a guess.

Send photos. Send measurements if you have them, and say so if you don’t.

What we won’t do

  • Work that needs certification we can’t provide — structural, load-bearing or safety-critical parts where failure has consequences we’re not equipped to underwrite
  • Reproductions of someone else’s protected design
  • Volumes better served by an injection moulder
